How to Improve your Immune System
53Hometown Toxins
Personal experience.....
For me, I was about one year removed from living in my hometown when I realized my place of domicile was actually ruining my health! I really didn't realize I was "sick" until I wasn't sick anymore. Growing up, I always fought allergies and nasal congestion and had assumed it was an inherited trait that i would just have to deal with.
After moving away at the age of 27, I didn't initially notice the above symptoms slowly cleared up. Through the years, everytime I would return to my place of birth, I would have an allergy attack or a severe chest/head cold would set in. 90% of these issues occur only when I've been back home!
After a little research, I found that my hometown is one of the top ten most polluted (air) cities in the US, per capita. This floored me to say the least and now I just about set myself up to be sick every time I visit. In my opinion, my immune system takes such a beating when returning there that I can't fight off these little pesky viruses.
I'm a firm believer in eating properly and I take vitamin c and a multivitamin daily. My wife and I have gotten much better at the 30 minutes of recommended exercise daily but we're not devoted just yet.
Don't assume that your health issues are hereditary or that they can't be corrected. Look at your surroundings and take into account any outside issues that could be a contributing factor.
